What is a GEO audit

GEO Audit (Generative Engine Optimization Audit) is a system for measuring visibility and establishing source authority across large language models and AI search assistants. It evaluates whether a brand is accurately recognized and positively recommended in mainstream AI answer engines, and whether traffic interception or factual hallucination occurs.

GEO audit in one line: check how AI really talks about you — whether it knows you, recommends you, or gets you wrong.

In practice: when buyers ask an AI assistant without naming a brand, we check whether it thinks of you, recommends you, and cites your official site.

This guide is maintained by GEO Audit Sentinel. It only describes methods and boundaries you can verify yourself; no rankings or results are promised. What the data covers — and what it cannot — is stated in each section.

About to buy a GEO audit service: read "Vetting providers" first, bring the five questions into the conversation, and compare each vendor's written methodology.

Already tested once: check your interpretation against the myths, then decide the next step; re-test under identical conditions after fixes.
